1. Our Commitment
Datte complies with the Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy. We strictly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material, content that sexualizes or objectifies minors, and any inappropriate contact between adults and minors. These standards apply to every user, in every country where the app is available, without exception.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
- Any visual, textual, or audio content that sexualizes a child (CSAM/CSAE).
- Registration or profile creation by a person under 18 years of age.
- Sexually explicit or suggestive communication directed at a minor (grooming).
- Solicitation, facilitation, or advertising of child sexual abuse material.
- Content relating to the commercial sexual exploitation of children, child prostitution, or trafficking.
- Sharing, requesting, or exposing the identity, images, or contact details of a minor.
- Off-platform links or handles used to distribute any of the above.
3. Preventive Measures
- Age gate: a date of birth is mandatory at registration and sign-ups under 18 are blocked. The app is rated and distributed for adults only.
- Human moderation: our moderation team reviews reported profiles, photos, and conversations, and removes violating content.
- Priority escalation: reports submitted under a child safety reason are placed ahead of every other report type in the review queue.
- Reporting controls: a Report action is available next to every profile and every conversation, and a Block action is always available to the user.
- Enforcement record: accounts removed for child safety violations are permanently banned, and the ban and its reason are recorded so the decision is not reversed.
4. How to Report
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these standards, report it immediately through any of the following channels:
- In the app: use the Report button next to the relevant profile or message and select the child safety reason.
- By email: childsafety@datteapp.com — monitored specifically for child safety reports.
- In Türkiye: call 155 (Police Emergency) or file a report with the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services helpline 183. Illegal content can also be reported to the İhbarweb hotline.
- Internationally: the NCMEC CyberTipline or the Internet Watch Foundation.
Reports may be submitted anonymously. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first.
5. How We Respond
Every child safety report is triaged ahead of all other report types. When a violation is confirmed, we:
- Remove the content and permanently terminate the account, without prior warning.
- Preserve the relevant evidence as required for legal proceedings.
- Report the incident to the competent authorities — including NCMEC, Turkish law enforcement, and other applicable national agencies.
- Block the offending user from creating a new account.
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement requests and legal process.
Our target response time for child safety reports is within 24 hours.
6. Child Safety Point of Contact
As required by the Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy, our designated point of contact for child safety matters — including inquiries from Google, regulators, and law enforcement — is:
- Team: Datte Child Safety Team
- Email: childsafety@datteapp.com
- Response time: within 24 hours for urgent reports
- Language: Turkish and English
7. Legal Compliance
Datte complies with applicable national and international child protection laws, including but not limited to:
- Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy and Google Play Developer Program Policies.
- The Turkish Penal Code provisions on the sexual abuse of children (Art. 103) and obscenity (Art. 226), and Law No. 5651 on internet publications.
- The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.
- The EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and, where applicable, the U.S. PROTECT Act and reporting obligations to NCMEC.
8. Staff and Review
Personnel handling reports are instructed on how to identify and escalate CSAE content and on their obligation to report it to the authorities. These standards are reviewed at least annually and updated as threats and legal requirements evolve. The current version is always published on this page.
